Sonnet For Time

Time is devoured by school, a huge beast
When I was small I spent more time outside
I was with friends more, but now time has ceased
I am the puppet, with string I am tied
Book in hand, I slave away forever
Rest for me is rare, and spare time is sought
Every day seven hours, will pain end ever
Run away and hide all alone, I ought
But there is hope, I can find time to play
To be a kid once more, not stuck a teen
I will  not give up, run from friends and day
I will play sports with peers and not be mean
Get work done on time, I will, and be free
Time passes, but I will always be me
